History

The history of comfy works is long and varied. Many eras have occurred over the long and storied history of comfyworks. There have been at 10 iterations of comfy works.

V1

Comfy Works was born from the dissatisfaction Carrot had with /r9k/ servers. Comfy Works sought to be a real haven for outcasts. A haven with a single principle: "rules are fake and gay". The original active members of Comfy Works joined shortly after its creation: Dingle, Snakeman, Ramza, Miro and others lost to time. Chaos ensued. But it was chaos guided by implicit the Comfy Philosophy underlying server activity.

The server prospered during these times as a place for Robots to congregate. Kall, Carrot, Snakeman, and Ramza would discuss their romantic perils and feelings of loneliness amongst waves of shitposting. Snakeman attained his first QT 3.14 gf to the surprise of all the members, ultimately resigning his Robot status. This would give other Robots glimmers of hope that in the end fizzled out.

V1 continued up until the Murder of Bianca Devins. Ramza and others posted the decapitation, which was soon followed by a server nuke. A friend of Bianca's was in Comfy Works at the time, and common opinion is she reported the server before she left.

V2 - V5

The peak era of chaos within Comfy Works. A variety of antics occurred during this time involved nukes, raids and even romance. This era involved the introduction Jonny and Myr, who simply came to troll the Robots and Femoids but ended up staying for the long haul. Jonny drove out the most active server foid, Rikq, during his barrage of shitposting. During this turn of events, the relationship between Jonny and Jasmine blossomed, which became the staple E-Relationship within Comfy Works.

Sometime after one of Roo's psychotic breaks, Comfy Works found itself destroyed by the abuse of his mod powers. Many members were banned amongst the channels getting deleted. This created enough turbulence within the server to usher in a new volume.

This era ended with a Carrot crash out, which resulted in the transfer of ownership to Fetus.

V6

Era ruled by Fetus.

V7 - V9

This era encompasses the Ban Wave of 2024. The beginning of this era was ignited by the return of Carrot, who begun shilling on /soc/. This is where the infamous member Mars was introduced who quickly became the most active member of Comfy Works. Many oldfags did not join until months after the server harvested many new members from /soc/. This was the freshest cast Comfy Works has had until V10. At the peak of V7's activity, Comfy Works was banned for Violent Extremism. Comfy Works was not going to give up. By enlisting the help of the remaining members, Comfy Works was able to rebuild itself by collecting lost members through shilling and connections.

The server was back for V8 and reached new heights of activity. Ultimately though, the discord jews struck again. This time, many members either lost faith in comfy or never found there way back. Many active members vanished at this time and comfy drifted into a period of inactivity after the creation of V9. Many oldfags joined Incel Daycare, and later Frank's splinter server The Bloc due to losing faith in Carrot.

V10

The current iteration of the works. Started in November of 2024 when Carrot decided to give Comfy Works another shot. A great time of prosperity and abundance is experienced here. The formation of comfychan and the wiki occur during this period.
